Time to Re-Solve an Issue

Well, I’m back again. Hello everybody, and happy new year! As the title implies, I have a resolution. You ready for it? I’m resolving to eat more. If you’re confused, I’m considered what is called “underweight.” You know what, I’ll show a picture:

Photo Credit: Black Glenn Flickr via Compfight cc

There. As you can see, I weigh 000.0 lbs. Nah, I’m just messing with Y’all. I actually weigh a little over 100 pounds, but for my age, I’m under the average weight. And over the years, I’ve been told to eat more. Well, for all those people who care about me, I’m FINALLY going to eat more. How you ask? I’ll explain that down below in a number list.

  1. Figure how much I eat on an average day (Ex: how many servings I eat)
  2. Add an extra serving or two
  3. Repeat for a month
  4. Check weight and look for changes

Now then, I’ve shared my resolution and how I plan on doing it. Before we end off this post, I’m asking you guys to comment down here and check on my progress. Please? It’ll really help me with my goal. You just have to comment something like “Gained any weight?” or “How’s your resolution going?” Well, I hope I get comments, but I’ll do my best. Later everybody!

Evaluation Time

Well, I guess it’s that time again. Time for me to look back at everything I did because the challenge is ending. Luckily for me, just by looking at my blog, it shows me how many posts I made! And that totals to a number of 72(if we’re counting this post). Unfortunately, I counted every post I did ever, so I’ll be back with the correct count. 14 posts. Doesn’t sound as great, now does it?

Now, for the hard part. Time to specify what posts were which, the choices being school, self or challenge set. Again, luckily I have marked which posts were in the categories of SBC, Song, Anime, or Portfolio. And the breakdown is 36 for the challenge! 32 for self-interests! And 4 for school! Amazing, isn’t it? Again, I didn’t do this right, so here’s the actual breakdown. 11 for the challenge! And 3 for self-interests! None for school…..I actually made move posts for the challenge than anything else on this blog. Wow. Did not expect that.

Well, with all those posts, you can probably assume I got at least 1 comment. As I’m taking the time to look over at them all, I found WAY more comments than I first expected I would ever get. And those comments amount to a grand total of 21! Well, actually 25. but I’ve made 4 comments, so only 21. And, because the SBC never gives us a break at the end, time to show which comments came from who. 3 from teachers!(I’m counting Mrs. W in there) 13 from classmates! And, as we can all assume, 5 from overseas students!

Okay, still haven’t fixed these mistake from when I started this, so I’m just gonna write the actual amount. 9 comments. Well, 11, but I made 2 comments. 2 from teachers!(still counting Mrs. W) 3 from classmates! And 4 from overseas students! Now, to the post who has contributed the most comments. That post being SBC Week 3: Poem with 3 comments. I think I had the most comments on that post because I’m a great poet! Just kidding, it’s because I replied to a comment someone gave to me pointing out a mistake I made(lol).

Next! Did I actually enjoy writing these things? Actually yes. The most fun post I made would have to be The Science of Sound. I liked writing this one because I just knew that sound had effects on us and I had the science to back up that theory! Now that we’re talking about sounds, that brings us to the next part. My blog themes. Yeah, well, I was gonna write something, but during this challenge, I haven’t changed my theme about songs. I guess we’re gonna move on with this evaluation.

Widgets! I’m just going to assume you all know what a widget is, since the second week of the challenge talks about them!(Fine, widgets are the things on blogs that are on the side. An example will be brought up very soon) I have used a few widgets. The widgets I used the most or liked the most would be my categories since people can easily find any posts in a general search, my visitor counter because it shows how my blog is evolving(I used to have no overseas visitors), and I like the search widget because everyone can look up a specific post.

Now, another widget, my blogroll! Well, blogrolls, since I have 2. From those blogrolls, there are 9 students from overseas. Unfortunately, most of their blogs have been taken down or discontinued, which makes me sad…

Finally, we’ll take a look at my web tools, or I guess web tool since I only use 1. I’m not sure if it showed any creativity, but I do know it sure helped me by telling me how many people have visited my blog. Yep, I’ve been using a visitor counter web tool. If you’d like one for your blog, click the link right here. Yeah, I liked seeing the number of visitors I’ve been having increase along with the number of countries they’ve come from. And with that, I’ve got to say I see improvement from the last 2 years I’ve done this challenge. I’m going to thank all of you out there on the internet because, though I don’t know you, I’m just thankful if you came and looked at my blog.

Before I end this, I need to share what my mom thought of my blog. Her first impression was that I write these posts like I talk in life. What captured her attention was still that I made the posts like I talk. Due to that, my posts are full of personality and very interesting. What distracted her was the content of my posts. She took a look at one post and was confused because I didn’t properly explain it to her. Now, she gave me a lot of suggestions to improve my blog, so I’ll sum up. I need to include more background information because not everyone knows what I’m writing about. If I just assume they do, everyone will be lost.

Well, I’m taking that suggestion and the other ones I didn’t talk about into consideration to create better quality posts, and I’ll see you all later!

Undertale: The Musical

From: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Undertale_cover.jpg

Hey guys. I’m here with my so-called “Best Post!” Yeah. Let’s get this started. I have news: I have recently downloaded the game “Undertale” to my computer and in light of that, I decided to share with you all the songs that have led me to do so. “Undertale the Musical” is a production by Man on the Internet, which you can find on Youtube simply by searching that name.

Now to the Musical itself, the songs that have been selected to be sung were all following the “True Pacifist” route of Undertale. It’d be too long for me to write about all 41 songs, so I’m gonna share the three songs I liked best. Let’s kick it off, so(big inhale), HIT IT!

Starting it all off, here’s Bonetrousle. Now, there have been two versions of this song, so I’ll be doing the 2nd version. The most important part is, of course, the great Papyrus! Throughout the song, Papyrus fights Frisk, the fallen human. Papyrus, as usual, tries to capture Frisk, but he fails due to his natural kindheartedness.

Second, here’s For the Fans. Now, I was debating whether or not to do this or Death by Glamour, but we can see which one won. This song plays after the beforementioned, action-packed song. As Frisk beat Mettaton, the one and only star in Undertale, his fans call to watch his last show. The song itself isn’t why I chose this, but rather Mettaton’s last message to everyone before his battery dies. It’s so heartfelt, so I implore you to go watch it.

Finally. I was so tired of waiting for this. Everyone? Are you there? It’s me. And I’ve got the last song here. Hopes and Dreams! YEAH! Sorry bout that random start and enthusiasm, but that was my sorry attempt at the start of the actual song. Now hold on, cuz we’re starting. This song is the only one where Frisk actually speaks. As the True Pacifist route’s song, the other main characters sing as well, fighting alongside Frisk to end the tale.

With that all said, I’ll be ending this post here. I hope you all loved this as much as I dreamed since I made this for you all to enjoy. But before I say bye, I need to ask you all. Did this post make you want to watch Undertale the Musical? Please tell me, or at least go take a look. Also, did you know the Genocide route was produced? Later!

(Once Again) Any Song Requests?

Hey guys! I realized that, for once, my counter widget has come in handy! Yeah. More and more of you are coming to my blog, and I really appreciate that. Since the last time I did this, I didn’t have as many visitors, I’m doing this again. Any song requests?

So, the theme of my blog is songs. I really like music. Not just how it sounds, but the story behind the lyrics. Since I’ve been mainly focusing on Japanese songs(I know, I know, I’ve probably watched too much anime), I need some help. I want to hear what’s your favorite song. It doesn’t even have to be your favorite! It could be a song you like, a song you’ve heard of before, or, whatever.

I hope that Y’all forgive me for not posting anything new or interesting, but I’m interested in you guys and girls. With that all said, I’ll be waiting for any comments asking for a song request, and I’ll see you all later. Bye!

The Science of Sound

Photo Credit: prozla Flickr via Compfight cc

Here’s a question for you all to start things off: Does sound affect us? The answer may shock you. And that answer is: YES! Sound effects us every day, whether we realize it or not. Hmm? I can’t actually tell, but I have a feeling that many of you don’t believe me. Well then, I have another question for you all: Have you ever heard any type of alarm? I’m sure you have and found it quite annoying. Some people deal with this by covering their ears, which is actually a way sounds affect us.

I can tell some of you still aren’t convinced. Fine then. I’ll share something about us when we hear any sudden, loud sound like an alarm. Once we hear that alarm, our bodies react by producing a hormone, increasing our heart rate, and even our breathing pattern gets disrupted. In addition to that example, let’s think of a more, pleasant sound. . . . Since I’m not a mind reader, I’ll just share what I thought of. Let’s imagine hearing ocean waves. Did you know that majority of people find it soothing? I’m sure you did. Well, that wave sound has roughly the same frequency of us when we sleep. Coincidence? I think not!

Photo Credit: Ian-S Flickr via Compfight cc

Still, don’t believe me? Not sure what else to say. Just kidding. But seriously though. If this doesn’t convince you, I don’t know if I can do it. Okay, so you know when birds sing right? Over the years, we have learned that they only sing when they think it’s perfectly safe. With that, we start subconsciously relaxing, our bodies knowing that we’re safe. I’m serious, try it. Go listen to a bird singing for a few minutes. Sigh. Final resort time. Just think of songs that make you happy, sad or any kind of emotion whatsoever. There. Sounds have just affected your emotional state. Since I’m sure I didn’t do the best job explaining, I’ll leave y’all some links to people who can share this with you much better than I could. Here: Julian treasure, Healthy Living, Prezi

Okay then, I hope you all liked this post! With that, I’ll see you all later, and I hope I see some comments about your thoughts!

SBC Week 7:1 World of Wolves

In nature, my favorite animals are wolves. Wolves make a beneficial impact on its economy. The first type of wolf is the gray wolf. Gray wolves hunt deer and elks. That makes sure that their population doesn’t grow too large and this benefits other plant and animal species. Also, the carcasses of their prey provide its nutrients for the economy and food for scavenger animals.

Next is the arctic wolf. Arctic wolves are the only wolves that can have completely white fur, sometimes with some aspects yellow, gray, and black. Also, arctic wolves have two thick layers of fur because of the climate they live in. The outer layer gets thicker as winter comes near, and the first layer creates a waterproof barrier for the skin. As a result, arctic wolves can stay warm even if it’s bitter cold outside. Arctic wolves also have smaller ears than other species of wolves to keep warm, and they have padded paws to have a good grip on the ice.

The gray and the arctic wolves are just two out of many species of wolves. I hope that this has made you curious about other wolves. The Best Book I’ve read

The best book I’ve read is 4 Kids in 5E & 1 Crazy Year by Virginia Frances Schwartz. This book is about the school year of about 20 students, told through 4 different perspectives. I like this book because I get to see how each of the main characters reacts to different events. I think other people will like this book because there are some really serious family moments, and there are some less serious moments where the characters have fun with each other, and that may appeal to some other people.

These are some book covers i found on this site: http://4-kids-in-5e-jaden.weebly.com/

MMORPG’s are Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games. To play a MMO, you need to create an account to use. You have to make a username, password, and you usually have to type in a valid email address. MMO’s need to go through something called a Beta Test.
